RESEARCH

I am fascinated by how the adaptive nature of emotional and memory systems supports resilience and recovery from negative experiences. For example, I am interested in how affective states influence our access to, and selection of, specific memories to retrieve; how emotions and motivation shape the memory organization and structure; and how episodic simulation and re-experiencing of emotions facilitate future learning.
